The new lockdown rules in Germany was implemented last December 16,2020 until January 10,2021. Covid-19 cases in Intensive Station and Geriatric facilities are increasing. Emergency rooms are implementing triage rules in admitting patients. The number of death is expanding. Politicians had a unanimous decision made for Covid lockdown rules in the country.
Private trips and visiting of relatives should be minimize when necessary to prevent the spread of virus.
Only 2 households (which means two houses) with a maximum of 5 people are allowed to meet. Children’s under 14 years of age are not included in the total number. Are shops still open?
Only essential grocery stores and open markets will remain open. Malls and fashion stores are closed.
Restaurants and Fast food-chains can only entertain pick up and delivery services. Drinking of alcohol in public is strictly prohibited.
Medical supply stores will remain open.
Banks, Gas stations, car/bicycle repair shops, dry cleaning and laundrettes, mailing businesses, animal supplier shops, press articles and mail businesses and sale of Christmas trees are allowed.
Massage practices, cosmetic salon and tattoo studios, swimming facilities, saunas, fitness studios, amusement parks, clubs, casinos, theaters, cinemas, concert halls are to be remain closed.
From December 24,25,26 special rules are to be followed: You are allowed to invite four additional individuals who do not belong to your household plus their children below 14 years of age. These individuals should be close family members, that includes cohabiting partners and partners in non marital partnership, spouses, parents or children, as well as brothers and sisters. The government stated, as much as possible, to self-isolate for 7 days before Christmas eve to minimize the spread of virus.
During Silvester, there is no corresponding special arrangement. Fireworks/Pyrotechnics are not allowed during New Years eve and New Years day.
You can leave your house or apartment for good reasons, including: Sport in an open air, buying essentials, visiting partners, attending church services and doing important errands.
Every states in Germany have their own curfew and school rules for students. The wearing of mask in public and crowded areas is mandatory. The minimum distance of 1.5meters should be followed when possible.
These regulations will be re-evaluated until January 10,2020 and further announcements will be said.
