Corona- the most famous word at the moment. Wherever you go, the population will share their ideas about the virus. Are you one of those people who accidentally got the virus? Or are you one of those people who doesn’t believe that the virus is deadly?

I am a nurse working in Germany since year 2017. As time passes by, i can compare the health system in Germany vs in the Philippines. Well of course, Philippines is a developing country while Germany is a highly industrialized nation. In Germany, they started the immunization last end week of December. As of January 12, they were able to give 688,782 vaccines to the people. (stand:January 12: information from Robert Koch Institute RKI) At the end of the first Quarter of the year, approximately 11 to 13 million vaccine dosage from the company BioNTech-Pfizer will be released.
People age 80 years old and above with multi-diagnoses are the first in line to receive the vaccine. It is accompanied by medical workers who are working in Emergency Ambulance,Hospitals and Geriatric facilities.
To receive the vaccine, the person should willingly sign a consent. It is not required to have the Covid-19 vaccine. Those who does not want to immunize is fine. BioNTech is the first supplier of vaccine in Germany.
What are the ingredients of the vaccine?
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine includes the following ingredients: mRNA, lipids ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate), 2 [(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide, 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3- phosphocholine, and cholesterol), potassium chloride, monobasic potassium phosphate, sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, and sucrose. As a nurse working almost daily in the hospital i saw a lot of people, workmates and friends who suffered from the virus. I saw patients in depression because their love-ties could not visit them. I saw dying patients who was not able to say goodbye to their families. I saw myself crying while wanting to fly home and hug again my parents in the Philippines. I received my first dose of vaccine last December 30,2020. The scheduled second dose will be after 3 weeks and it is scheduled on January 19,2021. The day after my vaccine i had a moderate pain in my left shoulder. It lasted up to 2-3 days. My shoulder was in pain and i could not easily move it. I did not have any other symptoms like fever, headache or dizziness. For some you would say „Of course, It will totally hurt because it is given Intramuscular“, but based from my own experience, it was the most painful IM vaccine that i had. Again, think of the positive side. The effects will be different from each individuals. All of my co-nurses and doctors only had shoulder pain too.
The new mutated virus is now spreading in some parts of the world. Some people asked, is the newly released vaccine can help stop the virus? Experts said until now there is no evidence that the new mutation would affect the vaccination. The new CoVid-19 variant can be quickly spread.
I willingly signed the consent to help the scientist in getting specific numbers of immunity from receiving the vaccine. I attest myself as an experimental specimen to help save the World against the destruction of SARS-CoV 2 in peoples life. It is the year of new Millennium, I believe that the medical technology can do everything in saving the World. I believe in God and Science. How about you?
