Do you want to visit three countries in one lake? Then check lake Constance in Europe. It is a huge lake with a size of 63km long. The parts of the lake are subdivided into 3 countries namely Germany, Switzerland, Austria.

Old City of Überlingen is a town located in the northern part of lake Constance in Germany. Starting the year 1950, Überlingen has started to become a tourist resort destination in Lake Constance.
You can experience the beautiful old city with a little Italian vibes upon arriving the area. Lake Überlingen is a part of lake Constance which is a water source in the southwestern area of Germany. In the history, this area is formed by moraine in the last Ice Age. According to google map, this city is 103km away from Zürich, Switzerland, 233km away from Munich and 40km away from the city of Constance.
You can find a long restaurants and cafe on the lake part of Überlingen. While drinking and eating your favorite dishes you can enjoy the great view of the lake. A secret tip: Why not have a dinner with your loved ones in the area and enjoy the sunset? I would totally recommend to check the weather before visiting the area so that you will enjoy the beautiful atmospheric views. There is also a port area for passenger ships coming from the different parts of Lake Constance. Hopping on a ship from Constance is much faster arriving in Überlingen than driving with a car or bus.

The train station in Uberlingen is also unique. It is surrounded by stones and walls. When i was visiting Münich, the train passed at this station and i was immediately curious where am i.

As a foreigner living in Germany, I totally recommend tourists to visit Lake Constance. It is a place of beautiful historic stories and you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake and Alps. It is also near to other European countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy and France.
