In spite of the fiction, you’ll always find international crowds of people who come here to live the fantasy. The house of Juliet features a balcony, the small court yard, and a bronze statue of Juliet. The metal on the right chest of Juliet’s sculpture worn bare due to the believe that if you touch the chest, it will bring you good luck and fortune in love. Many people writes the name of their love ones and attach it on the wall, known to be as “Wall of Juliet”. According to the locals working in the place, since 1930 they were receiving love letters mostly coming from American teenagers. The letters are read and replied by local volunteers, organised since the 1980s in the Club di Giulietta (Juliet Club), which is financed by the City of Verona.
In the year 13th century the building belongs to the Capello family. The building has a gothic style, with a historical celebrated balcony for the tourists.
