What is SPF?
According to the FDA, Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is a measure of how much solar energy (UV radiation) is required to produce sunburn on protected skin (i.e., in the presence of sunscreen) relative to the amount of solar energy required to produce sunburn on unprotected skin. As the SPF value increases, sunburn protection increases.
SPF is not related to the time of solar exposure but to amount of solar exposure. An example for this, 14:00 in the afternoon during Winter time in cold countries is different to 14:00 in tropical countries for the solar intensity. The countries near the equator with low latitudes has more amount of solar exposure. Clouds absorb solar energy, solar intensity is greater on clear days than cloudy days. In other words, you get more sun exposure during Summer than Winter. The solar exposure early in the morning are lesser. According to studies, it takes less time to be exposed to the same amount of solar energy at midday(specifically from 10:00am to 14:00 compared to early morning).

UVA definition– Ultraviolet A radiation from the sun with a fairly long wave lengths. A radiation that is in the region of the ultraviolet spectrum which is nearest to the visible light and extends from about 320 to 400nm in wavelength and that causes tanning and contributes to aging of the skin. *Limonia Acidissima Extract or thanaka powder decreases the chance of free radical damage and premature aging skin. It also has anti fungal and antibacterial property.
*Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine is a broad-spectrum chemical sunscreen agent with peak protections at about 310 and 345 nm and unlike older UV filters, it’s very photostable. This chemical is not approved in the US FDA.

How to use it:
At the end of your skin care steps during the day, place a moderate amount of the product in your hands. Spread it gently in your face as well as your ears, neck and dekolette.
Is it a good Sun Gel?
Yes. It has a longer sun protection and is a sweat resistant gel.
Fragrance?
Yes. It has a floral smell that is mild. I have Rhinitis but still i find the smell soothing.
I bought this product accidentally when my order in Yesstyle did not arrived on time due to CoVid Pandemie in Germany. The consistency of this Sunscreen is overall good, has a matte finish, it isnt too heavy or too oily. It is a lightweight gel or maybe weightless. You need to use a moisturizer before applying this at the end of your AM routine because of its lightness. It has a white color cast and does not leave a white cast in the face. It does not irritate myskin eventhough it is sensitive.
